Magnetic Clutch and Brake
	The magnetic clutch and brake is of the spring closing type. This has several advantages: it does not drive the knife even at a sudden loss of power; it is also free from the troubles that are common with carbon brushes. (No carbon brushes are used.)
Central Lubrification System
	All the major oiling points on the cutter are lubricated by the central lubrication pump.
Double-Ended Knife Pull for Even Cuts
	For an even cut from end to end and excellent all-round knife-cutting performance, only the double-ended pull system can deliver the power and precision your shop demands. (The two red arrows in the picture show openings onto each side of the double-ended knife.)
Variable Clamping Pressure
	The hydraulic clamping pressure is adjustable steplessly from 400 kg to 4000 kg according to the stock of paper to be cut. Clamping force is applied in two stages: a very low pressure is applied in the beginning, and full pressure is applied when the knife begins to descend.
Linear Motion Slide Way for Smooth and Accurate Movement
	A combination of ball bearing screw and linear motion slide way for the backguage ensures smooth and accurate movement -- even at low speed. It also ensures sensitive and correct movement corresponding, and superb durability.
Shear Bolts for Protection
	Shear bolts (or safety bolts) break automatically when the knife strikes a very hard object. This protects the machine from serious damage.

In addition to the features highlighted above, the eRC series of paper cutters have these features:

• The eRC cutter is CIP4 compatible. In fact, Itotec was a very early adopter of the CIP4 standards. For more information on CIP4, see http://www.cip4.org.
• The knife can be easily and safely changed by a single operator.
• The built-in air table enables the operator to efficiently and easily manipulate heavy and bulky stock. The chrome surface of the table cannot rust.
• A magnetic clutch and brake is of the spring-closing type, which does not drive the knife -- even at a sudden power suspension -- and is free from the usual troubles associated with carbon brush. (No carbon brush is used in the machine.)
• All major lubrication points are lubricated by the central lubrication pump.
• A set of infra-red light beams is projected in front of the cutting zone just above the table to avoid accidents.
• An optical cutting line is illuminated across the knife width. This allows the machine operator to position material to be cut without having to lower the clamp.
• The double-ended knife pull system ensures an even cut from end to end and excellent all-round knife-cutting performance.

Here are just a few of the features of the microcomputer built into the eRC series of paper cutters.

• The LCD color touch panel TFT 8.4" type is easy to read. Seven pages are displayed at once. Because course work descriptions can be checked easily, entry errors are reduced.
• The built-in microcomputer can store in memory 3000 pages (100 courses of 30 pages each). When more than 30 pages are required in a course, an extra 20 pages can be bridged for a total of 50 pages in one course.
• The microcomputer is capable to memorizing different jobs in a single course.
• Programming can be done in 3 ways: 1) Empirically by memorizing cutting data through actual cutting, 2) Using the ten-key pad to enter cutting data, and 3) Memorizing the backguage travelling data.
• A message window and alarm function give you the current state of the cutting machine at a glance. Knife change and oil change announcements are displayed with icons for easy identification. Various functions identify the location and description of a fault or entry error.
• Backguage position (cutting dimension) is displayed on the digital panel in units of 0.001" (0.01 mm).
• For safe and efficient operation, the backguage can be programmed to push out the paper stack after cutting, and then to return to the next cutting position.
• Backguage speed can be changed by accessing the LCD touch panel. Four speeds are available: 1) forward slow, backward normal; 2) forward slow, backward normal; 3) forward normal, backward normal; and 4) forward fast, backward fast.
• Any data can be inserted or deleted freely from memory (except when multiple jobs are in the course).
• Air cusion control allows the operator to program the air on and off regardless of the forward or backward movement of the backguage.
• There is a built-in calculator, and the results of calculations can be stored in memory.
• The nearest vacant course can be found automatically by pressing the search button.
