Shoei folding machine, model SRT 74-6/4/4, combines the best features of Shoei folders Combination WKT (shown here) and Combination KT Round Feeder. Besides being completely computer operated, it is a continuous feed, 6-plate, 29"-wide (74 cm) wide machine that is capable of all kinds of folding, including maps and signatures.

With Shoei computer-assisted folding machines each measurement is automatically taken in seconds to minimize set-up time. This increases folding productivity immensely. Shoei folders can easily and quickly adapt to short-run jobs, jobs with diversified operations, without stopping. The computer-controlled system can be installed into any Shoei folding machine regardless of the number of fold plates or the size of the machine.

Using a touch-screen monitor, even inexperienced operators can manage the computer-assisted setup with no mistakes. Once set correctly, the data is stored in the computer's memory so the setting can be duplicated in seconds. No manual setting or changeover is required.

Round Feeder

The round feeder is positioned by settings made by the computer monitor.

Register Table

There is no need to insert your hand under the conveyer to change a side guide position because the motor sets both sides of the conveyor guide automatically.

Fold Plates and Fold Roll

A new type of fold plate allows the stopper to be used as the deflector. There is no need to switch the heavy plate with the deflector. The size setting is clearly displayed on the computer monitor.

Knife Fold Section

The position of the stopper and side guide at the knife fold is automatically controlled.

Delivery

The plate stopper under the knife is automatically set.

Round Feeder Sucker Head

The round feeder sucker header is depicted here with the side guide.

Suction Head

The position setting of the suction head (and the side guide) is automatic.
